I love to cook, and am really good at it. However, my free time is my limiting factor. I need sauces that are easy to make, that I can make well in advance, they are really healthy, and you can put on basically anything. This recipe fits the bill. You can roast your own red peppers, or you can buy ones pre-roasted in jars (Costco usually has ones that are healthy and affordable). You can double this recipe and freeze half if you really want to save time. But honestly – it takes barely any time and will last you at least a week and give you flavorful and exciting food. Plus, if you’re on a macro counting diet (RP, IIFYM, etc.), this is “free” food that you can use to bring tons of flavor!
4 whole roasted red bell peppers (can be freshly roasted or pre-bought roasted in a jar)
¼ cup Rice Wine Vinegar (I prefer the sugar free kind)
1-3 Tablespoons Hot Sauce of choice (to taste- any kind will do)
¼ teaspoon fresh ground sea salt
¼ teaspoon fresh ground black pepper or 3 drops Black Pepper Vitality (aka dietary) Essential Oil
Put all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth
You can use this on anything! This recipe can basically make anything taste good. You can put it on any type of dish, including
Omelettes and Eggs
Salads (you can also cut with more vinegar to make it a salad dressing)
Bread (great for dipping or as a sandwich spread)
Anything else you want!
