4 Reasons You Aren’t Getting Instagram Engagement

Are you posting daily, hoping for Instagram Engagement, but all you hear is crickets?

Or, even worse, do you get the auto-bot responses like “cool” and “nice photo”?

I totally get it. I used to be extremely frustrated with it, also.

But, I knew that there had to be a way to get people reaching out to me in an authentic way.

I knew there were people who actually wanted to connect. (Spoiler alert: I was right).

In Episode 038 of my podcast, I’m talking about the 4 Reasons you may not be getting engagement on your Instagram:

P.S. – My students are crushing their Instagram game with my course. If you want to Grow Your Team on Instagram, learn how here:

Here’s the Short Version on why you don’t have Instagram Engagement:

1) Your content isn’t really as good as you think it is. (*ouch)

You have grainy photos, are using filters that make everything look yellow/brown, or your photos just aren’t really interesting. Or even worse, when I go to your feed, I have no idea what you look like or who of the 10 people in your family is actually YOU. If I find an account like this, there is zero chance of me following you.

2) You aren’t getting engagement because YOU aren’t actually engaging with anyone on your feed.

Would you ever go to a cocktail party, hide in the corner facing the wall and not say a word, but be very confused why nobody wanted to talk to you? This is basically what you are doing on IG if you aren’t reaching out to people and starting conversations. Staring genuine conversations and being (ahem) social is really important.

3) You don’t show your face ever.

If I only see your face once a month, it’s really hard to build the know/like/trust factor. Come out of the witness protection program and let’s get you connecting!

4) You aren’t consistent.

Again – let’s try an analogy. If you owned a brick/mortar store, would you only tell people about your store one day a month? Likely not. You have to show up and tell people about you, your journey, and give them calls to action every single day. The more consistent you are, the better you will get results.

OKAY. Deep Breath.

If you’ve realized you have some work to do, then that’s a good thing. Now, you can get to work leveling up your Instagram so you can start to make sales and enroll new reps.

AND, if you have NO idea where to start, or you just want a step by step plan on how to improve your Instagram, I have a course for you.
