Teach your way to new customers and distributors (aka attraction marketing 101)

How do you get people interested in your business and what you have to sell?  The easiest way is to teach your way to new customers and distributors.  This is called Attraction Marketing.

Here’s the concept.  If you teach people about solving the problems that they struggle with, they will keep coming to you for information.  Over time, you will build an audience and be able to reach out to those people to see if they are interested in your business or opportunity.

The version of attraction marketing that I learned from my coach, Ray Higdon, taught me works really well.  It’s a simple system: Invest, Learn, Teach (or ILT for short).

Invest in information:  Books, magazines, blogs, lectures, seminars, conventions, etc.

Learn something: Figure out the good info that your people would like to know.

Teach it to your audience: Online, in person, on blogs, on social media, whatever!

You don’t have to teach people directly about your products. You can teach people about things they struggle with. Who is your target market? What are their problems?  If you don’t know who your target market is, think about who you are and what you struggled with before you found your product. That’s what you need to talk about. It’s YOU before you had your AHA moment.  Then, figure out what problem they want to solve and teach all about (and around) that topic.  Again – over time, you will build a following.

Examples of how to use attraction marketing to teach people and attract them into your home businesses:

Essential oils:

Teach about the benefits of replacing dangerous chemicals in your home, teach about how to use natural solutions for stress relief, teach about natural solutions to keep your family healthy.

Skincare:

Teach all about how to keep your skin healthy.  You could also teach specifically about aging skin or skin for young people.

Makeup:

Teach about makeup trends and tips, teach about makeup for professional women, teach about makeup for busy moms.

Weight Loss:

Teach about losing weight when you have a busy job, teach about losing weight after kids, teach about losing weight when you are over 35 years old.

You don’t need to be the expert, you just need to be one step ahead of your audience.

So what happens after you teach? When people like, share, comment, etc., then reach out to them and start a conversation! Chances are they are liking, sharing and commenting because they struggle with that thing you were talking about. Simply reach out and talk to them and to see what’s going on in their life. If they are struggling with something you can help them with, then see if they’re open to watching a short video on something you think might help them.

Repeat over and over and over.  Most people will see results in 30-60 days and you will see results!
